The Jarabacoa Flower Festival 2022 is back to celebrate the flowers of the mountain vacation town and its multiple attractions.
The event, now in its 11th year, will take place from 16 to 19 June 2022, and seeks to position Jarabacoa as a tourism destination, while raising awareness about the importance of caring for the environment and promoting the culture of the mountain town.
Thousands of flowers and colorful plants go on display and are for sale during the event that takes place in the city of Jarabacoa.
Eunice Marmolejos, the creator and founder of the event, says this 2022 the fair is dedicated to water, so essential to all forms of living.
Marmolejos pointed out the festival has become a Jarabacoa city brand and a national event for its contributions to the sustainability and development of tourism in the region.
The event includes photo exhibitions, adventure trails, children’s workshops, trade shows, lectures, art exhibitions, flower and plant exhibitions and sale, artistic shows, a parade of floats and awards ceremony.
Damilka Mena Cuevas is the Queen of Flowers for this year’s event. Daniela Santos was named Ambassador of Culture 2022 and Merileidy Aracena is Ambassador for the Environment.
