
The Expo Mango Fair is returning to the Plazoleta Sergio Joaquín Incháustegui in Baní on 15 June 2022, with pre and post Expo Mango activities planned for 14 to 17 June, announced Rafael Leger, president of the Mango Cluster; Gisela Taveras, secretary of the organization and Germán Báez Román, president of Expo Mango 2022.
During the exhibition at the city park on 15 June, people will be introduced to the around 300 varieties of the tropical fruit. This 2022, a gastronomic event is in the program. Each day, a different chef will create entrees and desserts with mangos.
Agriculture Minister Limber Cruz is scheduled to give the inaugural speech on the opening day on 15 June.
The Baní event on 15 June is a time to get bargain prices on mangos because the farms deliver truckloads of mangos that are sold at wholesale prices to the general public.
The 2022 version of Expo Mango rides the wave of technology. People will be able to learn more about the use of drones for planting and monitoring of the mangos. The operation of the hydrothermal plant and how it helps with mango exports to various parts of the Americas and Europe will be shown.
International specialists are scheduled to share their experiences in meetings scheduled for Tuesday, 14 June and Saturday, 17 June at the Perelló Cultural Center in Baní. The United States, England and other parts of the world will be presenting the production of their respective countries and their experiences in the cultivation and marketing of Dominican mangoes.
