
The Chamber of Deputies passed the second reading on a bill that aims to enable and regulate the use of digital media for judicial and administrative processes in the Judiciary. The bill passed with 109 votes in favor, no votes against and five abstentions. It now passes to the Senate.
The Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) submitted the initiative in October 2021.
It was approved with amendments in second reading with 109 votes in favor, no votes against and five abstentions.
The Supreme Court of Justice has championed the use of digital media for justice. Several that oppose this say that there are thousands in the country that would be denied justice if the plans go as planned.
