
The Center for Emergency Operations (COE) alerts of possible flooding of rivers, streams and creeks, and flash or urban flooding due to downpours caused by a passing tropical wave and the impact of a trough.
The provinces under green alert are: Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, San Cristobal, Sanchez Ramirez and Greater Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo province and the National District).
The National Meteorological Office forecasts rainstorms will also affect areas in the northeast, southeast, southwest, the Central Mountain Range and some points of the border area with Haiti.
The country will continue to suffer from hot summer temperatures.
