
The defense of the Ministry of Education in the complaint of a company regarding irregularities in a recent tender for digital high school textbooks requested time to cut a deal with the company out of court, reports Diario Libre. The defense of Editora Actualidad Escolar is open to the deal, as reported. The Superior Administrative Court (TSA) postponed the hearing for Tuesday, 5 July to give time to the parties to reach an agreement. The case involves a tender for digital school books for high school students (MINERD-CCC-PEDEX-2022-0003). The company complained that the Ministry of Education awarded bids to companies that presented bids that were RD$800 million more expensive than theirs.
