Edesur Dominicana, the government power distributor, announced it has lit up 300 light posts in 20 sectors belonging to “Los Kilómetros” of Independencia Avenue, in the National District.
The general manager of Edesur Dominicana, Milton Morrison said the action contributes to citizen security.
The operation included the installation of new LED lamps, replacements, normalizations, and the turning off of over-lit luminaires.
Barrios that have benefited are San José, San Miguel, María Josefina, Nordesa, Residencial José Contreras, Esther Rosario, El Pedregal, El Gacela, El INVI, Miramar, and Mar Caribe. Also Roca Mar, San Gabriel, Solimar, Renacimiento, El Atlántida, Manga Nagua, El Enriquillo, Luz Consuelo, Tropical Malecón and 30 de Mayo.
