President Luis Abinader was in southcentral Peravia province on Wednesday, 13 July 2022 for the inauguration of the wastewater treatment plant for Baní, capital city of Peravia province. The National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa) director, Wellington Arnaud, said the treatment plant will directly benefit 87,672 inhabitants. Inapa built the plant to prevent diseases and water source contamination. The plant is a RD$312 million investment.
