The Ministry of Environment is hosting ministers of environment from Iberoamerican countries for the 11th Iberoamerican Ministers of Environment Conference 18-19 July 2022 at the Hotel El Embajador in Santo Domingo. The event is one of activities as the Dominican Republic prepares to host the Summit of Iberoamerican Heads of State and Government in 2023.
The Ministry of Environment says a political consensus document, an Iberoamerican Green Pact or Iberoamerican Environmental Letter, is in the process of being drafted. The document will summarize the regional agreements to promote a transition towards a green, intelligent and circular economy for sustainable consumption and production.
