
Alexander Ogando qualified for the Oregon World Athletics Championships finals in the 200m event. He set a National Record when he clocked in at 19.91. He was first in his heat. The final will be on 21 July 2022.

Usain Bolt of Jamaica has the record for the 200m men’s event with 19.19. The 19.19 is the World Record and Championships Record.
18-year old Erriyon Knighton of the USA has the best time so far this year in the event with 19.49 set on 30 April 2022.
On 20 July 2022, Dominican star runners Marileidy Paulino and Fiordaliza Cofil compete in the 400m women event. Lidio Feliz also qualified for the 400m semi-final with 45.87. The semifinal will be also run on 20 July 2022.
