Access to Macao Beach improved

The Ministry of Tourism invested RD$53 million to improve the beach infrastructure at Macao Beach in northern Punta Cana. Macao Beach now has a better access road, and vehicle parking is easier.

“We are here again, in Macao Beach, to honor our commitment to build a modern parking lot and rebuild the access road,” said Minister David Collado during the inaugural event on 17 August 2022. He said the two public works directly impact visitors and the small merchants who operate in the beach area.

The Ministry of Tourism’s Executing Committee of Infrastructure of Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR) funded the project.

A 1,962 square meter bus parking lot was prepared with capacity for 14 buses. The parking area has capacity for 86 vehicles in a 340 square meter paved parking zone. The access road called for paving of 323 meters, 950 meters of sidewalks.
