Government contract says he paid RD$527 million to get paid by Hacienda

Government contractor Bolivar Antonio Ventura Rodriguez told prosecutors of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office against Administrative Corruption (PEPCA) that he delivered more than 527 million pesos as a bribe to the Minister of Hacienda Donald Guerrero. The payment would ensure that the Ministry of Hacienda order the payment of RD$1.3 billion reportedly Ventura says was owed to him by the government.

For the operation, Donald Guerrero’s would be cash collectors, the accused José Ureña, Fernando Crisóstomo and Ramón Emilio Jiménez Collie (alias Mimilo), proposed to the businessman to deliver RD$600 million in exchange for the payment of the debt owed to him as a contractor.

In questioning by the Pepca, Bolivar Rodriguez explained that Fernando Crisostomo and Ramon Emilio Jimenez Collie accompanied him at the Ministry of Hacienda where he was told that to get paid on the debt he had to reach an agreement with Mimilo and Jose Arturo Ureña for the money.
