
The Presidency announced the going into effect of the Regulations for the Application of the Law of Regulatory Improvement and Simplification of Procedures 167-21. The regulations order simplifying procedures in the different ministries and agencies under the Executive Branch.
Likewise, the new ruling calls for the implementing of impact analysis to assess the positive or negative effects of the rules.
The new regulations go into effect with the enactment of Decree No. 486-22 of 24 August 2022.
The regulation reconfigures the public consultation process that had been governed by Decree 130-05 with the Regulations for the General Law of Free Access to Public Information. The new law orders that significant economic and social regulations to be subject to a public consultation process of 45 working days, while the others will be governed by a period of 20 working days.
