Wingo introduced this Wednesday a new international route between Santo Domingo and Panama City, making it the first low-cost airline to connect these two Latin American capitals. Wingo is a low cost airline owned by Copa Holdings. Copa operates flights to Panama City from Santo Domingo (SDQ).

The new route will be available to the public starting Thursday, 6 October 2022, but the airline has already begun sales with promotional launch fares.

Prices will start at US$103 for the Panama-Santo Domingo route and US$81 for the Santo Domingo-Panama route.

The airline will be flying two times a week – on Thursdays and Sundays, announced Jorge Jimenez, Wingo’s commercial and planning director.

Wingo currently flies from the Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) six days a week to Bogotá, Colombia and three days a week to Medellín, Colombia.
