
The Chamber of Deputies has passed the a bilateral aviation agreement with Qatar. The agreement had already passed in the Senate. The aviation agreement had been signed in 2017 and was pending congressional approval. As reported, the agreement aims to create effective cooperation between both states to facilitate the expansion of air service opportunities and ensure the highest degree of international safety and security. The Abinader administration is working closely with the government of Qatar to foster increased investment in the Dominican Republic.
