The HUB Cámara Santo Domingo 2022 is being held from through 8 September 2022 at the Hotel El Embajador in Santo Domingo.
The event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo together with the backing of the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana). Biviana Riveiro, Pro Dominicana director, says the event is a platform to connect international buyers with local exporters, Pro Dominicana used market intelligence tools and worked in collaboration with trade representatives in Dominican embassies abroad.
This year the event motto is “Connecting your business to the world.” International buyers from 41 markets are participating. Companies from the United States, Puerto Rico, Central America and South America, Europe, South Africa and Asia are participating.
More than 70 buyers from 27 markets are participating in the face-to-face business rounds held at the HUB Cámara Santo Domingo. More than 600 meetings with 145 Dominican exporters are participating.
Riveiro expects 2022 to set a historic export record. She said the country is on the right track, since “only in the first seven months of this year, we have reached exports worth USD$7.39 billion, a growth of 10.8%.”
The markets present in the Santo Domingo Chamber HUB are the United States, Puerto Rico, Central America and South America. Also, the Caribbean, European countries, South Africa and Pakistan.
