Haitians fly to the DR to connect to other destinations in the Americas

Listin Diario reports that an unusual number of Haitians are the passengers of Arajet, the new low cost airline that is connecting the Dominican Republic to Central America and Mexico.

The newspaper reports on the notorious number of Haitians that are using the country to connect also on other airlines to destinations in the Americas. Other airlines that are booking an increasing number of Haitians are Copa Airlines, Aeromexico, Avianca and American Airlines, Listin Diario reports.

The newspaper says that Migration Agency sources indicate that in recent weeks the flow of Haitian nationals to Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia has increased considerably.

As reported in Listin Diario, the Haitians enter on regular flights by Air Century, Sky Cana and Sunrise Airways arriving to Las Americas or La Isabela from Port-au-Prince. On the same flights from Port-au-Prince travelers of other nationalities, such as US citizens and French residents are also arriving from Haiti in than increased numbers.
