Senasa is first in government to get the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System standard

In the latest of measures undertaken by the Dominican government to fight administrative corruption, the National Health Insurance (Senasa) government health plan announces it is the first to receive the anti-corruption certificate – ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System standard.

As reported, the certificate provides government institutions with the tools to prevent, detect and manage criminal bribery behavior. And according to the explanations of Senasa executive director, Santiago Hazim, this type of certification is part of an anti-bribery policy that is implemented globally. He explains the certificate aims to help the organization avoid or mitigate the costs, risks and damages involved in bribery, promoting confidence and security in the processes. This is applicable to small, medium and large organizations in all sectors.

During the delivery of the ISO 37001:2016 certification of the Anti-Bribery Management System, engineer Lorenzo Ramirez, general director of the Dominican Institute for Quality, said he delivered the certificate with great satisfaction as it demonstrates the commitment of Senasa to the transparency and sustainability of the Dominican healthcare system.
