DR wins silver in the Pan American Figure Skating Championships 2022

Rollers Academy is the first Dominican professional training center in the Dominican Republic. El Caribe reports on the academy student’s success at the recently ended Pan American Figure Skating Championship that took place 26 August to 4 September 2022 in Cancun, Mexico. There were different categories, in three different events: Schools and Rookies; Clubs, in all categories; and Nations.
The Dominican team won three medals, including two silver by Madelin Placencia in senior women in the schools category.

Next, the Dominican team competed in the Nations event from 5 to 11 September against as part of 270 athletes from 12 countries in the Americas that sought the continental title and to qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2023 and the Pan American Games in 2023.

Alana Gutierrez Peña in dance and Anthony Payamps in freestyle qualified for the Central American Games in San Salvador and the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile, both in 2023.
