Addis Burgos on Channel 37, dedicated her “Desclasificado” TV investigative program on 3 October 2022 to follow the efforts of the Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo to provide security for passengers. The investigative report focused on the extensive surveillance coverage about what happens to the second at the Las Americas International Airport. The system serves to prevent and provide evidence in the cases of claims of items stolen from luggage or missing luggage.
The Addis Burgos video shows that most of the cases at the airports are are caused by the failure in procedures by airlines or the carelessness of the travelers. The airport says passengers first need to insist with the airline to establish the whereabouts of missing luggage and other issues, before taking the matter to the media.
