2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship update

The Dominican Republic lost to the United States at the start of the second phase of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship. In its 19th edition, the tournament is ongoing from 4-9 October in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Lodz, Poland.

The DR is one of 16 of the 24 national teams that started the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.

Eight quarterfinalists need to be chosen from the 16 remaining teams.

The Dominican Republic lost its first game as part of Pool F to the United States. The DR is competing against seven teams in Pool F. The teams are Turkey (#6), Thailand (#13), the Dominican Republic (#9), Poland (#12), Serbia(#4), the United States (#1), Canada(#15) and Germany (#14).

Pool E is made up by Italy (#2), the Netherlands (#10), Belgium (#11), Puerto Rico (#17), China(#5), Japan (#7), Brazil (#3), and Argentina (#18). These teams will play in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
