Soprano Nathalie Peña Comas has just won the Stignani Competition in Imola, Italy. The aim of the Stignani Competition is to honor the name of the celebrated leading dramatic mezzo soprano of her time, Ebe Stignani. Hardwork and seeking technical vocal excellence were the two main pillars of her long and successful career.
The City of Imola and the Internationaler Musikverein Ebe Stignani München, e.V., organized in 2022 the 3rd Stignani Competition. Peña Comas competed with trained classical music singers or students of voice and won the prestigious award, its cash prize of EUR3,000 plus concert engagements.
Local audiences can now watch Nathalie Peña Comas perform at the National Theater. She will appear as guest performer during the National Symphony Orchestra performance scheduled for Wednesday, 9 November 2022.
The Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem Mass will be performed. Jose Antonio Molina will be conducting. The performance includes a choir of 150 voices. Other guest performers for the evening are mezzo soprano Glenmer Pérez, American tenor Gregory Kunde and bass opera singer Morris Robinson.
