
President Luis Abinader was present for the opening of the 28th Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) conference at the Jaragua Renaissance from 11 to 14 October 2022. Around 500 representatives from 40 countries, 14 shipping companies and more than 60 cruise executives are in Santo Domingo to analyze the challenges and future of the industry’s operations in the new post-pandemic normality.
Adam Ceserano, president of the FCCA, highlighted the consolidation gained by the Dominican Republic as a cruise destination with prime port facilities and stellar destination attributes and its tourism vision.
Heads of tourism from Barbados, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Grenada Honduras, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Maarten and St. Kitts & Nevis are attending.
