
Dominican ambassador in Jamaica Angie Martinez has organized a network of Dominican professionals to work together for more trade and investment. The Network of Dominican Professionals in Jamaica (La Red) seeks to identify, link and back Dominican professionals and entrepreneurs in Jamaica, it also seeks to organize these and strengthen the impact of the diaspora.
The ambassador explains the objective is to improve the connections among the productive sectors in both countries.
The initiative was launched at the Dominican Embassy in Kingston and was attended by more than 30 Dominican professionals, business people and entrepreneurs who became the founding members of the new initiative.
In a very special way, Ambassador Angie Martinez acknowledged and thanked Dominican Luz del Alba Tejada, senior executive of the multinational Pepsi in Jamaica, for her valuable contributions to make the network a reality.
Among the founding members are the CEO of Hyundai Magna Motors Jamaica, Erick Gutierrez; the CEO of GB Energy Texaco, Bela Szabo; the head of Business Transformation of Pepsi Jamaica, Luz del Alba Tejada; the Financial Controller of Newport Fersan – Jamaica, Esther Rosario; the Country Manager of Therrestra Group Jamaica, Pedro Pablo Calderon; the After Sales Manager of Hyundai Magna Motors Jamaica, Jose Melo; the Director of ICGA Group Jamaica Limited, Carlos Manzur.
In addition, the Head of Communications of the Association of Dominicans in Jamaica (ASODOJAM), Ysis Cruz; the Head of Agriculture of Jamagro Tech Farm, Fabio Vinson; the project manager of Silvarpole Ltd, Eng. Randy Jorge; the eye doctor Arnold Batista; the Dominican military, Captain Pilot Jose Leonardo Rosario and Captain Pilot, Leidy Tapia Diaz, FARD, among others.
