
The Ministry of Environment took actions to seize heavy equipment that was carrying out irregular aggregate extracting operations in Rio Jura in Azua province.
Trucks, backhoe loaders, shovels and a material processing plant that were operating near the head of the bridge over the Jura River in Azua province were detained in a joint effort by the Ministry of the Environment, the Attorney General’s Office and the National Environmental Protection Service (SENPA).
The action was headed by Magistrate Francisco Contreras, Attorney General for the Defense of the Environment; Sheiner Adames, Legal Consultant of the Ministry and Captain René Rodríguez, SENPA director general.
