The National Botanical Gardens is one of the best attractions of the city of Santo Domingo. The large city park is very popular for recreation with locals and tourists.
Once again, the National Botanical Gardens is preparing the National Flower and Plant Festival. This is a truly major event for horticulturalists, orchid lovers, florists, and nursery owners and the general public. The festival will be held from the 28th of October until the 30th. Adults need to pay RD$150 and children enter by paying $50 pesos.
The entry ticket allows the holder to participate in panels, talks, workshops, and a train ride around the botanical gardens. There will be a vast array of plants on sale, with more than 50 nurseries taking part in the festival.
