The USGS/University of Puerto Rico reported a 4.7 intensity earthquake at 8.755°N 68.733°W, or 13 km from La Otra Banda near Higuey in La Altagracia province. The earthquake epicenter was at a depth of 119 km. It occurred at 5:05am on Sunday, 23 October 2022.
The UASD university seismological center registered the earthquake at 5.0 magnitude, 10 km from the city of Higuey.
