It is the time to pick up some spectacular pointsettia, the traditional Christmas time flower or a special orchid.
The National Botanical Gardens presents the National Flower and Plant Festival from Friday, 28 October to Sunday, 30 October 2022. This is a truly major event for horticulturalists, orchid lovers, florists, and nursery owners and the general public. Adults need to pay RD$150 and children enter by paying $50 pesos.
The entry ticket covers the participation in panels, talks, workshops, and a train ride around the botanical gardens. There will be a vast array of plants on sale, with more than 50 nurseries taking part in the festival.
The National Botanical Gardens is one of the best attractions of the city of Santo Domingo. The large city park is very popular for recreation with locals and tourists. Go early to get parking.
