YouTube’s Corrupción al Desnudo Rafael Guerrero calls for National District prosecutor Rosalba Ramos to request the surveillance cameras on Duarte Avenue to review the tragic accident that cost the life to a Haitian national.
Urban singer Elvis Manuel Santos Alcántara (Onguito Wa) is the lead suspect of the death of the Haitian. Reportedly, he was in the vehicle that crashed the Haitian and then abandoned the vehicle at the time and fled.
Corrupción al Desnudo aired an audio in which reportedly, Onguito Wa tells his mother he paid a prosecutor RD$60,000 to deal with the death of a person he admits to have killed in the same video.
His lawyers have said he was not the person driving the vehicle as it sped in the opposite direction on Av. Duarte.
It is a common practice for persons of wealth to find a replacement for them as their trial is heard.
The vehicle impacted and killed 25-year old Elma Abner, who died instantly in the crash that occurred at around 3:30am on Av. Juan Pablo Duarte near the Av. Nicolás de Ovando.
Onguito Wa is said to have been driving the Mercedes Benz G579341 that frontally impacted the motorcyclist, the sister of the deceased said she was told by the Police.
Onguito Wa has a list of past traffic accidents with several injuries where he has gotten off easy. In June, he ran over two persons in Villa Mella, in northern Santo Domingo.
Spokesman for the Police Diego Pesqueira says the case will be heard by the Transit Prosecution Office that is in charge of investigating the killing that occurred at dawn on Saturday, 29 October 2022.
