The announced concert for 4 November 2022 of legendary Spanish composer Manuel Alejandro at the National Theater main hall in Santo Domingo is postponed. The reasons for the cancellation of the Friday concert are not known.
The 90-year old is the composer of dozens of emblematic songs such as “Te voy a contar mi vida,” “Yo soy aquel,” “Procuro olvidarte” or “Se nos rompió el amor.” His talent at composing was such, he retired from singing at 60 to dedicate himself to composing.
His songs have become golden records for Latin singers Julio Iglesias, Raphael de España, Jose Jose, Luis Miguel, Rocío Jurado, and many more.
The concert has not been outright canceled and there are expectations a new date will be sent for fans that long to hear him sing and tell the stories of his many legendary songs as he celebrates his 90 years of age with his Dominican fans.
