Ingeniería Estrella of the Dominican Republic has teamed up with Transeq S.A. of Panama for the construction of the Corredor del Caribe in Panama. Last week, Panamanian Public Works Minister Rafael Sabonge signed off on the US$91 million deal. Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen was present for the announcement.

The Corredor del Caribe is the road that will join the Panama-Colón highway with the Costa Arriba on the Caribbean coast of Panama. The road is about 28.4 km and its construction will benefit 55,800 inhabitants in the district of Colón and Portobelo in Panama.
