Solving missing person cases; 17 year old murdered

The Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that the body of missing 17-year-old teenager Cruz Snayderlin Dadus Poche (Yeilin) was recovered early Wednesday, 2 November 2022 morning.

Juan Gabriel Féliz Ubrí (Caputo), the main suspect in the case, was arrested in the course of the investigations with warrant number 0594-2022-00177. He led the authorities to the place where the body was found in the community of El Pino, in the municipality of Comendador.

The accused Féliz Ubrí was sentenced to three months of preventive detention in the public jail of San Juan de la Maguana, in the province of San Juan de la Maguana, the head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Elías Piña, Ramil Cadete Pérez told the press.

Two years ago, Féliz Ubrí was also mentioned in the case on the death of the 18-year old Netaly Denis Rosario Contreras (Hedel), who was his girlfriend at the time. At the time the courts found there as not enough evidence to prosecute him.

In the recent case of the teenager Dadus Poche, investigations establish that the victim disappeared on 2 October at around 9pm. A phone search revealed the last message was one from the accused who told the teenager to come by his house to pick up an Iphone cell phone he had bought for her.

After receiving the message, the young woman allegedly left her house in a gray car, supposedly to buy ice cream, and since then her whereabouts had been unknown.

On 4 October, relatives of Dadus Poche reported her disappearance to the Center for the Reception of Complaints of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Elías Piña.
