Families of missing persons united to insist on help from the government security forces to bring conclusion the cases. The effort is giving fruit. The case of missing person 32-year old Jesus Maria Cuevas is now solved.
He went missing on 6 October 2022. Given that he was constantly in touch with his friends, these and his family did all possible to locate him. The family explained the difficulties found when they needed government support.
Sadly, it is now known he was murdered by a person he worked with and to whom he had lent money.
It is now known that the confessed assassin, 32-year old Francisco Javier García Quezada, “Anthony” kept the chopped body in a black plastic bag, hidden in another black plastic bag in a large plastic tank on his balcony for 29 days at the third floor apartment on Calle Tercera, San Jose, Km. 7 Carretera Sanchez in the National District.
The body was found when the apartment was searched by government investigators. García Quezada lived there with a three-year old son and frequently had young teenagers over to play computer games, as reported in Listin Diario.
Neighbors had been complaining of the bad smells. García Quezada insisted it was a dead rat.
In the search of García Quezada’s apartment, Omar Cuevas, brother of the victim, said they found the green shirt the deceased was wearing on the day of his disappearance in the dirty laundry basket. Another brother, Ariel Cuevas gave an interview to Somos Pueblo TV giving a clear overview with the weaknesses in government capacity to search for missing persons.
The police say García Quezada admitted to the crime yet the Police has not explained the motive for the crime. García Quezada and Cuevas knew each other from work. Garcia had been off the job for five months, and Cuevas had lent him money.
Cuevas was buried on Friday, 4 November 2022 in the province of San Jose de Ocoa.
Psychiatrist Cesar Mella described Francisco Javier Garcia as a psychopath.
