President Luis Abinader announced the government will pick up the RD$11 million tab to place a roof and make other improvements on the Club Barrio Mejoramiento Social (Bameso) basketball court in the National District. The team just recently won the National District Basketball Championship defeating Mauricio Baez.
Sports Minister Francisco Camacho made the announcement when the winning team met with President Luis Abinader at the Presidential Palace on 7 November 2022.
