Edgar García Cabrera named to promote sustainable land development in Santo Domingo province

President Luis Abinader appointed Edgar García Cabrera as director of the Unit for the Promotion of Land Management, Planning and Sustainable Development for the province of Santo Domingo.

The appointment is contained in Decree 639-22, issued by the Executive Branch this Monday, 7 November 2022.

The initiative also includes the promotion of investments for the construction of housing, an arts center, libraries, recording and film studios. In addition, an aquatic complex in harmony with the Ozama, Isabela and Higüero rivers, the transformation of landfills into green spaces, are contemplated as part of the Santo Domingo 2050 initiative.
