
Ashraf Habibullah, the Pakistani-American structural engineer who developed the software that enabled the building of incredible landmark projects, is visiting this week. President Luis Abinader will receive him at the Presidential Palace at noon on Tuesday, 15 November 2022. The National Pedro Henriquez Ureña University (UNPHU) will bestow him with a honoris causa doctorate on Tuesday. On Monday, 14 November, a reception will be held at the Museum of Royal Houses in the Colonial City at 6pm. Leading engineering firms and personalities are invited, government officials, politicians and business people are invited to meet the legendary engineer.
Habibullah is recognized as a charismatic and inspiring speaker. He is best known as the founder, president and CEO of Computers and Structures, Inc., the structural and earthquake engineering software company based in Berkeley, California.
