Central Bank statistics indicate that the flow of remittances from the Dominican Republic to Haiti has been declining. From January to September 2022, remittances declined 8.2%. Haiti is the recipient of Dominican remittances, with 69.8%.
Thousands of entire Haitian families continue to relocate in the Dominican Republic given the multidimensional crisis in that country.
