The National Budget for 2023 passed in the Chamber of Deputies. The budget received 98 votes in favor and 54 against and two abstentions. The RD$1.78 trillion budget now moves to the Senate. The deputies did not admit amendments suggested by the members.
The ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) is majority in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
