The 8th Annual DREAM Holiday Brunch was held at Velero Beach Resort in Cabarete and brought together the Cabarete community, local entrepreneurs and philanthropists from the North Coast area to give back to the community.
A press release from the DREAM Project says it was a time for family, friends and fun. Guests enjoyed a brunch, spectacular music by DJ Kitrinos and DJ Natali Satin, and fun activities and games for all.
The event was sponsored by leading Puerto Plata companies, with a special focus on giving back: Andari Spa, Cultura Viva, L’Agence Real Estate, Laguna City and Realtor DR. By sponsoring the event, each of the entrepreneurs helped boost the impact of DREAM’s educational programs, providing education-based resources for more than 2,000 local youth and their families.
Jon Wunderlich, development director at the DREAM Project, said: “I feel so happy and proud to watch the Cabarete community come together to support education in the Dominican Republic. We need this kind of proactive partnership to educate our children and youth… and of course to welcome and highlight the best of the holiday season—giving back to the community! This is the legacy we want to leave our children.”
The DREAM Project seeks to connect the community with support, as part of strengthening the organization’s work in meeting the needs of the communities in the Dominican Republic, as it has been doing for the last 20 years.
