President Luis Abinader and First Lady Raquel Peña were the guests of honor at the 32nd Graduation of the training program for young persons sponsored by the Ministry of Defense. The Presidency reports that this program takes in thousands of young people and teaches them important values, and readies them for places in society, either as students or workers. This 2022, there were simultaneous graduation ceremonies in the National District (at the Mauricio Baez Club, and in Santiago, La Romana and Barahona.
For over 20 years, the program has prepared more than 65,000 young persons and taught them discipline, values and vocation to serve. More than half of these graduates have been young women.
