
Sky High Aviation Services initiated direct flights from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) to Miami International Airport (MIA) on 13 December 2022. The airline joins American Airlines and Spirit that already offer non-stop flight service from the capital city airport to the Miami international airport.
Sky High Aviation Services is a Dominican Republic carrier. It is now operat six weekly flights to Miami International using the 96-seat Brazilian Embraer E190 aircraft.
The Santo Domingo-Miami route is the third-busiest service connecting the Dominican Republic and the United States, after the flights from New York (JFK) to each of Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros airports.
The airline is advertising a promotional fare of US$373 round trip with taxes and 15 lb carry-on and 50-lb suitcase included.
The airline has plans to fly to Providence, Rhode Island with twice-a-week flights. Thousands of Dominicans live in Providence. As of yet there is no direct air connection to the Dominican Republic.
