
Christmas Eve dinner is a tradition that Dominicans share with family and friends every year. Reporters for N Digital estimate that a simple Christmas dinner of a lower middle income six-person household will cost around RD$7,000.
N Digital reports that the traditional fare for Christmas is rice with green pigeon peas, Russian salad (with beets, eggs and potatoes), roasted pork, paddies, telera bread, Christmas sweets and dried fruits, cider and alcoholic beverages.
