Homs gets Accreditation Canada

Santiago continues to take firm steps forward as it establishes itself as one of the leading medical tourism and health centers in the Caribbean and Central America. The Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago recently received international accreditation for health services from Accreditation Canada (ACI) in the gold category.

Héctor Sánchez Navarro, deputy general director of Homs, said that this recognition accredits the hospital as a trustworthy center for any international patient who may choose medical services here.

“The Acredditation Canada is granted for complying with the protocols and standards that guarantee the delivery of quality and warmth health services,” Sanchez Navarro emphasized.

Sanchez Navarro stressed that with this recognition, Santiago consolidates its position as a tourist destination in the field of health.

He said the accreditation obliges the hospital to continuously evaluate services and detect areas for improvement, develop standardized processes to improve their efficiency and effectiveness, and reduce risks and adopt best practices in their care.

The deputy general manager of Homs explained that the center had been working for nearly eight years to achieve this certification.

Sergio Blasco, general manager of the clinic, said that the international accreditation places the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago as the highest-rated health center in the country.

“Now the work is to maintain and improve our services,” said the executive.

Homs is the first medical center to be accredited by ACI.

Accreditation Canada is an independent organization founded in 1958 to guarantee excellence in health services, measurable in three levels: gold, platinum and diamond.
