Unless the Presidency orders an extension of the present legislature, debates on the controversial Public Trust Bill and the amendments to the Electoral Regime and Political Parties laws are being moved to the next regular session of the Congress.
The regular congressional sessions close on Thursday, 12 January 2023 and resume on 27 February 2023 with the rendition of the state of the nation speech by President Luis Abinader to the assembly of senators and deputies.
