Cold front brings cool temperatures to the Dominican Republic

The Weather Office (Onamet) reports that a recent passing trough and a present high-pressure system and frontal system are bringing cool temperatures nationwide. Onamet reports that people will be able to enjoy cool temperatures with idyllic blue skies. The stable weather conditions favor outdoor activities.

“It is expected that Dominicans in mountain areas will continue to enjoy, especially at night and during the early morning, chilly temperatures between 2°C and 10°C. The lows are reported for the mountain areas such as Constanza, Jarabacoa (La Vega), Hondo Valle (Elías Piña) and Polo (Barahona) among others, with temperatures ranging from -4°C to 2°C in higher altitudes, such as Valle Nuevo and Pico Duarte (La Vega, Santiago and San Juan de la Maguana).
