Vice President Raquel Peña and Tourism Minister David Collado are heading the Dominican delegation at the Madrid, Spain’s International Tourism Fair (Fitur). The 18-22 January 2023 event is an opportunity to present to the travel buyers, investors and the visiting public the new beach destinations of Miches in the East and Pedernales in the Southwest.
Tourism Minister Collado will be announcing new deals during his participation in Fitur. The Ministry of Tourism reports more than 52 exhibitors from the Dominican Republic are part of the Dominican presence this year in Fitur.
In 2022, the Dominican Republic became the only country to fully recover touristically, with 20% more in air arrivals than in the pre-pandemic year 2019.
