The Dominican Republic (Tigres del Licey) lost to Colombia (Vaqueros de Montería) on Tuesday, 7 February but still has a chance at moving to the semifinals of the Caribbean Series taking place in Venezuela. The first two teams to make the semifinals are Mexico (Cañeros de Los Mochis) and Colombia (Vaqueros de Montería).
The Licey will now face Curacao at 2pm and the Vaqueros will face Leones de Caracas of Venezuela.
