Foreign residents who have been lax about renewing their residence card are getting a break. The Migration Agency announced people who have expired cards can apply for a considerable discount when applying by 30 March 2023.
The discount applies to all residence card holders (temporary or permanent) who have had the card for three years and their card is expired.
The discount for renewal of the card is of 40% on fees to users who have between three to six years with expired residency. A discount of 50% on fees applies to users with cards expired more than six years.
To apply, residence card holders need to apply online and pay the fees with the discount applied.
