The payroll of the RD-Vial Trust has increased more than 300 % in just two years, although its revenues increased by only 40%, Diario Libre reports.
Diario Libre reports that from 77 employees in December 2020, the number of employees increased to 353 (up 358.4%) by December 2022, according to the payroll report published by the Ministry of Public Works, the government party in the trust. The employee payroll went from RD$2.94 million in December 2020 to RD$4.17 million by 2021, when there were 107 people on the payroll. By December 2022, the payroll had increased to RD$10.19 million for the 353 employees.
Diario Libre reports that given the increase in employees, the management of the trust purchased additional space in the Condominio La Cumbre, in the Naco sector, in the National District, the same building where it operates, although on a different floor.
Jean Luis Rodríguez is the honorary director of the Red Vial trust since October 2022. He is also the director of the Dominican Port Authority.
