At least 17 people were injured in a crash on the Azua bypass just minutes after the inauguration of the two-lane road that connects Azua with Pedernales and Independencia, San Juan de la Maguana, Peravia, San Cristóbal and Santo Domingo. The crash occurred between a truck loaded with tomatoes and a passenger bus.
The Azua bypass starts at the city’s entrance and ends at the Sanchez highway, at the entrance of the municipal district of Los Jovillos.
