Nuncio Monsignor Ghaleb Moussa Abdallah Bader resigned his position as apostolic nuncio for the Dominican Republic and apostolic delegate to Puerto Rico. He had been appointed to the position in August 2017.
He began his diplomatic career when he was appointed apostolic nuncio to Pakistan in 2015.
Listin Diario reports Pope Francis accepted his resignation on 15 February 2023. The Vatican has not given the reason for the resignation, but reports are that the early retirement is due to health reasons. Retirement age for priests is 75 years of age. Monsignor Ghaleb Bader was born in Jordan on 22 July 1951.
